I did the Shell version and that thing was a engineering disaster.

The front spindles,the cab hinge,Try to make the trailer a short bed....Good luck

I do love the subject but that kit should have never been released in its current form and expect someone to build a decent model with what comes in the box.

For me the fun of the kit was trying to fix all the train wreck engineering.

The sink mark's in mine were so bad I stripped the chrome so I could fill everything in. The parts for my tank were also warped to the point that the tank isn't round or straight. I'm having to use a straight edge to find where to add putty and then where to sand it to get it into useable shape.

Like I said I've never done the tank trailer but the L700 is a great kit. The only re-engineering done on my builds of this truck is the rear suspension is lowered. Follow the directions to a T on the door hinges. I also have a wip of this truck that's being built with a scratch built 10' dump bed.
