Sounds like you must of cut through or damaged some wiring when you pushed the copper line through the firewall. Wiring is something I stay as far away from as possible. On another note, we have traded our look alike patrol car. The '10 Charger RET + AWD in dark gray is getting turned in as a trade-in tomorrow. The Dodge dealer where we bought it was having a close out on all remaining '18 models. We had been putting a pencil to what we wanted to do to the Charger in the future since it was almost to 100K miles. I was in the dealership last week getting an oil change and wondered into the showroom floor while I was waiting. There sat an '18 Charger GT with AWD in white, just so happens to match most of the Kansas Hiway Patrol units, and as they say they were offering at a price you couldn't refuse. They wanted to give it a better cleaning before delivery and I wanted to get our personal belongings out of the car. So early Monday I'll take the '10 Charger and title and pickup the '18 Charger. I'll post some pictures next week also. The new car has a spoiler on the trunk as part of the GT package and it's flat black. Not to my liking so I'm going to have it painted to match or even remove it altogether.

Yea like I said,I don't like dealing with anything electrical. And I'm sure your right about hitting something with the copper tubing.Im gonna get it looked at tomorrow. And congrats on your new car.Fast car, watch that right pedal:D

After 97k miles behind the wheel of a 5.7 Hemi with All Wheel Drive, don't let anyone tell you that the 3.6 with duel overhead cams and an 8 speed auto and all wheel drive is the same. The new car has no problem keeping up with traffic but if you get in a hurry that little engine gets real frantic trying to supply you with the power you are expecting. I guess I'll just have to learn to take my time from now on. The very first day driving I went to pickup my wife for lunch. Going slowly down a side street, a black & white PD Charger going the other way and the driver gives me the two fingers wave off of his hand on the top of the steering wheel. Most everyone else thinks it's just a white Charger.

Welp I'm still dealing with some electrical issues, but we are getting it all straightened out.And all because I wanted to hook up an oil pressure gauge. But I still have to say though, that this is one of the fastest cars I've ever driven. Its an absolute blast.????

Should slap a Setina grille guard on there. People will move out of your way on the highway!

Ya that might work. It happened again today with a KHP car on the freeway. I was going into a nearby city to have the windows on the new car tinted. The KHP was assisting someone on the side off the freeway and he was driving a white Charger. The guy waves to me as I drive by. I think the only people that think this might be a patrol car is with some form of law enforcement, everyone else just drives around me. This doesn't really bother me as I'm not trying to be a fake patrol car. A large part of it might be the black spoiler on the trunk lid. This was part of an optional package on the car and I'm having the dealer paint it to match next week. Four door sedans with spoilers have always seemed odd to me anyway. I like the wells on your gray Charger, is that an actual PD car or just a Demo ??

Well I got the tail lights, their stock, but they just have the black bottom trim, and not the chrome, which is on my car.I also got the head lights today..They have just a very light tint to them..I just have to wait for the small black trim under the trunk.Give it that Marauder look a little. But I still need to get all the electronics worked out.Im probably going to check all the fuses. Will see what happens....And the lights are not as dark in person. The picture of the lights is not too good..

Ok I got the last piece of black trim I could get to put on the car.Found it on eBay,the chrome piece between the tail lights.I still gotta fix all the electrical issues when I feel better.Im In NY,so of course I got a cold. But who cares.Anyway just wanna finish the car as black,NO chrome on the car as I can. Then possibly find a set of factory Marauder wheels, and spray them black, will see.?

So I watched Barrett Jackson all week, and now Im numb from seeing so many cars.Ive also never seen so many resto mod Vettes in my life. Some nice, some were pretty ugly. Then yesterday, they auctioned off a complete hook and ladder fire truck from Fla,along with a matching 2011 Crown Vic fire chiefs car.I can't remember what the truck went for,but the Crown Vic sold for about $6K.Never thought I'd ever see a Crown Vic interceptor at Barrett Jackson:P.Something for everyone,I guess.

Welp the car needs a new computer.A friend and I tested everything, fuses, etc, and the readings came back with internal damage to the computer. So now for about $150 I got to find a computer, and then hope all is fixed.Or I swear I will drive the car into a large tree.Oh and I do believe I have to take the car to my good ole' local Ford dealer so they can re-calibrate the car's computer:angry::(.

You might want to check with some of the after market computer/ tuners if you have to reprogram you computer. This may even allow you to dial in a little extra power.

Yea good idea, gotta find a place in my area though.

Ok now my friend thinks it's the computer under the dash.He thinks by changing that,it should fix everything, lights and all..Only problem,is the car has around 5,or 6 computers. If it is the inner computer ,I don't need that calibrated, only if it's the main one.?????????I pray for it to be the inside line.

When you get your CV up and running again if you want to see about a different tuner you might want to check Diablo and some of the others. The only reason I mention the Diablo is that we have used it on our JK and it allows us to change the ignition mapping to the point that we sometimes have to run premium in stead of regular gas giving us additional power that comes in handy during of road adventures. We can alter the speedometer to compensate for larger diameter tires as well. A good on line source would be Jeg's or Summit Racing which is what I used.

Espo,I thank you very much for the advice. The car is finally fixed. The problem was the inside, under dash computer that according to my friend,it just went down.So $300 later,I got the car back.Arrrgggg.I hate spending money on my cars,if I can't do the job myself, and this was one of those times. But I guess I'am relieved that I don't have to take it to Ford to be re programmed.

So it's been about a week since I got my car back.Everything works tip top,no problems at all.Hope it stays that way.I'm going to be changing all the chrome trim on the back of the car,to all black trim. Then install the lightly smoked head lights. And they better be light, otherwise they are not going on the car.Hopefully it will all fit together..Im skipping the volt and oil pressure gauges for know...Just in case:o

If anyone is following this thread,my friend and I changed the whole back of the car's trim to all black.Everything lined up,and works.Next are the head lights, being lightly smoked. They should look good. And that's about it.

Ok so curiosity had me guessing what I could run my car in the 1/4.A buddy of mine timed me at around mid 11s...Mid 11s,in a police car with flow masters and just a cold air intake. You Got to love it.Plus I cannot believe how many videos on these cars there are on U tube. They really have a loyal following.Again, they are just simply great cars. And I just got a sticker on my back window that I thought was pretty funny."It says I'm not a cop,I promise".I don't care, but I'm not trying to pretend I'm Joe the cop.I just like the car.And since that little electric glitch I had about a month ago,the car runs great. And I checked the idle clock. Its about 1,200 hours.Thats nothing, this car was really well cared for. Most of them have around 3,000-6,000+ idle hours.
