Russell C Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 No offense to the fans, never liked the design of the cartoon car at all, but your remake of it is a killer revision!
Bernard Kron Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 The execution of this wonderfully imaginative idea is so well done that it stands up handsomely to the merciless close-up photography you've provided. All the better to enjoy the meticulously correct detail work you put in it. It's totally believable in every way, somewhere between what Bill Devin and Jim Kellison would have created had they collaborated on a race-worthy successor to the Devin SS, and the last-gasp success of the Chaparral Mk I in its final year as it it did battle with the rear-engined lightweights, all scoops, flaps and air dams. Suddenly it's 1963!
MrObsessive Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 One of my favorite '60's cartoon cars and yours looks great! In the original 'Manga' (which I have) the car is shown from time to time having a mid engine. Funny that on the cartoon series, it was always shown as being a front engine car. That's the cartoon world for ya!
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Awesome! Though it´s a fantasy car, it looks very convincing! Very nice job!
Eric Macleod Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 I replied in the WIP but it's worth chiming in here too. This is one of my favorite builds posted recently. While I had some doubts during the WIP process, you absolutely nailed this one. Fabulous in every way.
Dann Tier Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 To me, this is WAAAAAAY better than the original!!…….FANTASTIC job, bud!!!
