Melrose Missle

Seems to be common with these.  Mine is warped too (stock version, not the MM).

Nice job on the decals.  A heads up for your next Mopar: the front sub rails are part of the unibody and should be body colour (or primer with overspray).  Although they've moulded it separately in this kit, it isn't in real life; only the K-member and trans mount are separate pieces, and those should be black.

Nice job on your Melrose Missle. So the body was warped when you opened it?

Yes.  I tried hot water.  Didn't work.  Set the body up with a twist in the opposite direction the same as the original twist, then applied heat with a monocote heat gun ( never letting the plastic get hotter than I could touch ).  When I let it cool down to room temp, body was perfectly straight.  Worked quite well.

10-4 on the above. I got lazy and hoped no one would pick it up.  Even my Avatar pic is as you said.

I recently built the Ford 4x4 truck, and was reading how other forum members had warping problems from Moebius. I did not encounter these same problems. The word was that the kits were being placed in the box warm, and then cooling in a warped state. The trucks apparently had problems with the roof slightly warping, making the windshield difficult to install. I enjoyed the only two Moebius kits I built... I just wish the windows installed from the inside. You did a very nice job with the black trim around yours. Looks fantastic.

Yes, the windows were a little tedious  to install from the outside. "Testers" clear parts cement put on with a tooth pic worked well. and the black window trim covered up any visible glue.  I had to mix some blue to match the decal blue around the wheel well openings where the decals didn't completely conform and in some other small areas where the decals were slightly short.
