  1. MPC's kit # M868P-SP. Garlits first endeavor in to rear engine cars. Kit comes with a great info sheet on this car including Garlits personal insight in to this car.
  2. Car I raced with a couple other guys back in 68-69. We ran the AHRA Midwest circuit in Formula 1 B/S A. Held the ET and Speed records in that class for a while @ 11.61 and 117 mph.archive.ziparchive.zip
  3. Keep truckin!! Can't wait to see it done. Roll cage and tubs = first class!
  4. Sorry, your right - 34 kit.
  5. I did the Bobuis Melrose Missle kit. Body had a warp in it which I had to take out with heat. Good front suspension detail. Should have painted only the K frame black, not the front frame rails. Should work fine with Jenkins decals. This kit could have been built as a stock Belvedere also - with a wedge motor, steel wheels and poverty caps.
  6. No, older build - decals were good.
  7. Think this model started out as a Lindberg 32 Ford 3 in 1 pick-up truck. Much kit bashing and parts box work to come up with a fifty's Chopped, channeled, and blown flatty.
  8. In memory of Dale the snail Emery.
  9. MPC,s 1975 Dodge Dart Sport done up as a 60's 70's bracket race car. Kit had poor suspension detail, but lots of extras. Engine went from second Gen to first Gen due to poor valve cover moldings in the kit - which I supplied from my parts box - plus wheels, roll bar, distributor which went from the front of the engine to the rear - which necessitated modifying the fire wall. Custom color.
  10. Midwest ( Chicago area ) fuel altered racer of the 60's 70's.
  11. A salute to Dale the snail Emery - driver of Pure Hell who passed away this year.
  12. MPC's 75 Dodge Dart Sport being kit bashed in to a bracket car.
  13. Yes, the windows were a little tedious to install from the outside. "Testers" clear parts cement put on with a tooth pic worked well. and the black window trim covered up any visible glue. I had to mix some blue to match the decal blue around the wheel well openings where the decals didn't completely conform and in some other small areas where the decals were slightly short.
  14. 10-4 on the above. I got lazy and hoped no one would pick it up. Even my Avatar pic is as you said.
  15. Yes. I tried hot water. Didn't work. Set the body up with a twist in the opposite direction the same as the original twist, then applied heat with a monocote heat gun ( never letting the plastic get hotter than I could touch ). When I let it cool down to room temp, body was perfectly straight. Worked quite well.
  16. New Mobius kit - 65 Dodge cornet . Very nice kit. Plus = excellent chassis detail, decals, instruction sheet. Minus = warped body ( straightened with heat ).
  17. I don't normally work in 1/18 scale, but couldn't pass this one up.
