Oldcarfan27 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 We all know that the original annual and promo has better body proportions than the remake, but... Does anyone have the 90s pseudo promo to compare with the 90s kit? I saw a simple 1 shot picture of the black/red promo online and it looks like it has a better roofline and windows than the kit, possibly less boxiness in the overall body shape, but I'm not sure. Has anyone compared the newer tools of each to see if they're different? Thanks for the help.
Classicgas Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 I can copy a article in the June 1992 issue of Scale Auto Enthusiast that covers the at the time new tool to the annual.
Oldcarfan27 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 Thanks, but I'm just wondering about comparing the "new" promo vs. the "new" kit. I know the original kit has the right feel and look to it. I have a few of the remastered 66 Fairlane kits, but the body just doesn't have "IT" (the look). I wanted to know if the remastered promo is worth looking out for, to use as a kitbashing exercise.
Rodent Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 I have the promo, an in process GT/GTA kit, and an unstarted 427 kit. I just need to dig them out and look at them.
