Thought I'd share my latest completion with you guys. Feels good to get it off the bench so I can start something else(funny thing is, since I've finished it all I've been doing is re-arranging my hobby room, lol)

It is Revell's '37 Ford Delivery kit. If you guys want details let me know. It's got a wedge cut section out of the bottom of the body to make the attitude more aggressive. Opened up the side windows to show off the wares of the "Longview Custom Boards and Repairs" Co.

Engine is kit block with heads from the AMT '34 Ford coupe 2n1. Intake is parts box scoop atop "S.C.O.T " looking blower from AMT old tool '57 Chevy

Interior rack is scratchbuilt from evergreen styrene. Boards are sourced from various kits except tri-fins made by Brian Hensen.

That is a sweet street rod. Where did you get all the surf boards at?

When I originally started the project I figured I was just gonna use a bunch of the Johan shortboards(available in many of their kits, most recently the rambler wagon) but I knew there were more out there, so I decided to dig deeper.

These are the kits I sourced my boards from, but I know there are more out there

AMT '41 Woody

AMT '64 Marauder

Revell '31 Model A sedan "rat rod"

The 2 tri fin boards were handmade by Steve Hensen

Craig that is one imaginative build! And a great advertisement for that kit - I doubt the box art ever sold it to the hot rod crowd, but this should do it.

Congratulations on your well-deserved award it garnered too!
