Gregg Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Here are some big scale stuff for help in the fulfillment of my rock crawler project (In other words, for TRADE)
Nick F40 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Ohhh man you have the F40LM! I dunno, I like your Group C cars....and some others... I do have a reverse ESC and all kinds of offroad goodies. I bet it was a blast, and glad you like it and want to turn it into a crawler and you are lucky, for living down in Hawaii....dang man. Scale4X4 is still my favorite, if you ever get some time, I know your busy, check it out.
Joe Handley Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 A word of warning Gregg, if you're going into areas for crawling that don't have much shade for a long period of time, bring a hat and sunblock. Didn't do that for the SCRC comp with my AX10 today and I kinda look like a big, fat lobster at the moment Tomorrow is going to HURT
thomas LB808 Labanon Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 TTT Hey,guys me and my brother in-law are thinking of getting the AXIAL scorpion. Is it a good base for bigginers? We know jack about crawling. But it looks like fun. Any help would be kool.
Gregg Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 I picked up a cheap Tracer chassis and put it all together last weekend. I locked the rear diff on the TLT Picked up 12 tooth pinion, but that sucker's loud! The pitch is ouch! Need to get a reverse ESC, get the body painted (found a Bushwhacker at local hobby shop). Going to paint it blue and white like the beast. Can't wait to get this all finished. Will probably need to get different rims/tires, the stock ones spin easily this is fun!!!! wait, sorry, I should be working......

We know jack about crawling. But it looks like fun. Any help would be kool. They're good trucks, but get the kit or ARTR instead of the RTR, the links on the RTR are extremely flexable! I just got the Losi Mini-Rock Crawler and it has been a pretty good little truck, but I may have stripped the stock plastic diff locker for the left rear at the SCRC comp today. All of mine are a little "growly" and the WK even has a little tick to it too.
