forthlin Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) I'm thinking of ordering one of these since I owned a 1:1 years ago. Does anyone know how detailed this kit is? Does it come with an engine? How detailed is the chassis & interior? I'm not to familiar with Fujimi's kits. Edited August 26, 2008 by forthlin
forthlin Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 Thanks Steve! That's the model. I was hoping it would be more detailed but I think I'll go ahead & order it anyway.
Nick F40 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 This one?? [pic from an e-bay auction] I have one of those. The body's nice and the interiour's pretty good except that the rear seat area's shaped to accomodate battries and an electric engine, like a lot of older Japanese car kits. IIRC,, it's right hand drive only though. There's no engine and the chassis isn't great as it was designed for the electric motor but the front wheels are poseable. :P
LVZ2881 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 if you want a high detail kit of the mid-80's celica...look for a Fujimi High Mechanism series kit.. it seems to be as detailed as an Enthusiast series kit.....
LVZ2881 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I see no pics heres a link to a pic from HLJ.... http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ07022 does that work better??
MrObsessive Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Also you can check out MPC's version of this car which represents an '82 or '83. I believe it's a Supra though. Nice kit with full engine detail and all and a good interior with great chassis engraving. I've seen them listed on the 'Bay fairly often.

Kinda like the Nissan Fairlady over there is the Z-car over here.
