stitchdup Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 This one is one of the amt pre painted kits built basicly box stock apart from a slight lowering all round and some jaguar wires. I redid the chrome on the roof and sides with foil and the rest is as it came. The chassis on this was pretty warped from the bag being way too small for it but once the interior and engine were in some strong glue and taping it together for a month fixed it. I didn't realise it was still so dusty until I saw the pics, was sure i cleaned it better than that, lol

ewetwo Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 I have one to build. And maybe soon after reading about the warping. My Proshop T-bird was warped also.
Classicgas Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Nice. Not sure why the chassis was too small. Mine was fine. Suggestion, take photos on a white background, and don't use flash.

I wasn't as clear as I should have been, the chassis wasn't too small, the bag it was heat sealed into was too small and warped the chassis, possibly from the heat sealing being too close to the styrene
Classicgas Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Ah. I see. More like it was pulled from the mold too soon.
