I used Spaz-Styx chrome sprayed over white primer. I have found that it makes a nice aluminum look.

This is a great truck...and an ispiration for me for the next W900. I have another one in the mail...crapy pre-buid one but part wise all there. Your mod looks like the "Snowman" truck...the one I want to build from the junk yard kit.
