I can certainly identify with some of the problems you had.  This is a well-detailed kit, not like the AMT Vettes of '63-'67.

I rebuilt mine from the Delmo Johnson car (#3) to the Chaparral version (#67) at Road America in '64.

As an historical note, GS 005 in the hands of Roger Penske was the only one to win a major international race (Nassau '64).

Your build looks great.

I have the HRM transkit and it's treasured by me as I won it at an NNL years ago. VERY nice castings as JC pointed out and I too have a couple of those GS kits..........one as a donor.

Very well done I agree with the rest of the viewers that the looks of the car look spot on . hope mine looks this good if I ever get it done

   That turned out great despite the challenges.  Finishing such a great looking build is even sweeter when it challenges you.  Excellent work!
