Geno Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I picked this kit up to build and am curious as to what paint to use for the best color match of the real car. Thanks, Geno.
Hotrod 97 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Not sure how accurate to the real car it is, but I painted mine with Rust-oleum Apple red over white primer. Here are a couple pics in natural light (one in sunlight, one in shade).
Geno Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Ahhh, Tyler you come through again lol. Thanks a million. I can't wait to see yours finished.

Geno Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) Cool, I'm laid up right now, dislocated elbow, so it'll be a bit before I get to mine lol. Your build is what got me wanting to do one. Keep us posted buddy. Take care, Geno. Edited March 12, 2019 by Geno
Snake45 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I just ran a quick Google search and was unable to turn up any description of the real car's red paint other than "iconic." Just use your favorite red, I guess.
TarheelRick Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Hmmm, never heard of 'iconic red' before, is that related in any way to 'tasty blue'? Good looking ZZ car.

I’ll keep you updated, for sure.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) Ouch! Dislocated elbow sounds painful. Hope you heal quickly. I used krylon fusion red on my Eliminator. Polished and cleared. Also printed plaid decals for the seat. Edited March 13, 2019 by Perspective Customs
Geno Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Again, thanks all for your help. I certainly do appreciate it. Blessings to you all. Geno.
