Mr mopar Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Ok will the AMT 70' Dodge Challenger Chassis fit into a MPC 73' challenger body has any one try this ?
StevenGuthmiller Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I haven't tried it, but if they are the same scale, I would say that it's highly likely that they will fit together. Might be some slight mods needed though. Steve
Mr mopar Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 The reason I ask is I scored a MPC Dick Landy Challenger and don't like the MPC chassis, AMT looks like it may fit ,just have to make some tubs for the back.
br67 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) I'm busy with one as we speak. It's all relatively straight forward can post some pics of progress if you like Edited March 31, 2019 by br67

Not to mention that the AMT Challenger (an otherwise mediocre kit) has a Dana 60 already , and separate exhaust , separate driveshaft , etc.

br67 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 D here you. Cut out the cowl from the 73 body. Removed inner fenders and assembled engine on the recent Amt issue. Aslo had to trim down 4 tabs on the chassis to allow the interior tub to fit in correctly
Mr mopar Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 Thank you Brandon you are the man , just what I was looking for ,now I can fix my Dick Landy Pro stock . AWESOME !
gtx6970 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 My personal opinion. I would convert the Revell Cuda chassis before I used the AMT chassis

Jantrix Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 Years ago I put an AMT 70 Superbee pro-street chassis under the MPC '67 Charger, with an absolute minimum of fuss.
