Gregg Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 At the NNL East this past, what, March?, we had the most ever forum members for the MCM Forum group photo. We had almost 40 members, not counting the two snackers (yes, snackers, not slackers!). So, let's shoot for 50 in this shoot! Let's set it up for like 4:42 p.m. Or maybe 5:02 p.m.? Can't think of any other appropriate CID times :-) I will be coming up from Dayton with the Southern Ohio boyz Saturday morning. Actually, I had a change in plans. After the show, I will be driving to O'Hare, and jumping on a plane to the office for a few days. No, I'm not getting fired (that's not possible :-)) I will be back for the Chicago iHobby Expo October 16, home Sunday And then I hope, November 8 for the Atlanta (Jack Daniels tour) NNL. Heh, it's only a five hour drive!!!!!

I heard that the cost has gone up to three honey-do wild cards, two chick-flicks, one cousin's wedding, and something about a foot rub/pedicure that I don't understand or wish to comprehend. george 53 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Ok guys, could someone fill me in? I'v never been to a NNL proper, only the toyshows that they have at the Maumee Rec Cen. The last time I was there, the show took up 3 rooms an guys were just grabbin stuff outta your hands! I don't need to get into a altercation over some a$$ holes out an out rudeness, so I just quit goin to it.But I would like to go to Maumee to meet you guys! How do I get into the NNL without the toy show hassle? What time does it open? how much to get in, an how will I know where to go to catch you guys? I think I'll recognize Gregg if I see him, But is there gonna be a "Staging Area" for the NNL guys? I'd appericiate any help, caz the last time I went, it was a madhouse, and I don't like madhouses. Hope someone can give me some help on this!Thanks!

I got family in Waukeeshaw, My aunt Rose's kids are still there and theyre as crazy as us(my family) Aunt Rose is gone home now, unfortunately, but my goofy a$$ cousins are still livin there. Maybe the next time there's an NNL there, you could post it for me, or jus PM me, you got the addy,And I could possibly make it over there. I haven't been to Waukeeshaw since I was about 13/14,for my Aunt's funeral. Don't really have clear memories of it. I do remember it was a nice clean city, like Deeetroit USED ta be! Thanks!

It'll be the first time since '03------hope to see all you guys there if I can make it!

I've shored up a shared ride for a Saturday day trip. = gas $ Admission, 50/50, raffle, lunch/dinner money, fresh batteries for the camera. That's it. NO overnight(s) at The Red Roof. NO BUYING ANYTHING !!! HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU GO TO THE TOLEDO NNL NATIONALS AND NOT BUY ANYTHING ?!?!?!?! that's too bad Pat. i hope you can make it, i will be there again luckily!
MrObsessive Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 I hear ya Pat! Since buying my house a couple years ago............I've had a total rearrangement of what and when I buy things. Trips out of town have to take a back seat to what is needed for the house. Obviously, the house and it's bills have to come first not to mention when I went last in '03 I had no car payment either! Then there's GSL coming up next year in May that I gotta start getting money together for somehow............. You're right..................It's IMPOSSIBLE to go to Toledo and NOT buy something........the temptation is too great!
