PatW Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 (edited) I was offered this to save. It came already painted Black so I wanted to contrast it with yellow. I added seats, wheels/tyres, exhausts, sun visor and as my stash of engines are all too big I scratchbuilt a bonnet and sides...and moved the lights to the top of the front wings.. A bit garrish but that's modelling! Edited April 19, 2019 by PatW
Jim N Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Very nice save. I think the contrasting colors look good.
PatW Posted April 19, 2019 Author Posted April 19, 2019 Thanks Jim, I must admit I thought it a bit over the top afterwards. But I also enjoy the contrast of colours.
FordRodnKustom Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Nice save Pat! Creative color combo too, just don't see that every day!
PatW Posted April 20, 2019 Author Posted April 20, 2019 (edited) Thanks Ron, no that's true that this colour combo isn't seen that often but as the body came already in black there needed to be a shot of colour to improve it! Edited April 20, 2019 by PatW
Modelbuilder Mark Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Pat, to be honest, it may have been a post to the wrong thread, but given that it was back in May, I cannot say. Sorry. I like you truck tho.
PatW Posted September 21, 2019 Author Posted September 21, 2019 Cheers Mark. I'm picking all manner of comments I'd missed on various builds!
Dave Van Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 I kinda like those old Lindberg kits. I built the \34 Ford p/u' box stock and it was fun. Forced you to use some skills. I am working on a Lindberg 32 Ford right now that is kinda cool. What is interesting is how many different kits they made that were very similar but different. Did you do anything to the stance?? Looks good
PatW Posted February 26, 2021 Author Posted February 26, 2021 Hi just catching up! Yes I have a few of the Lindberg kits as well. No didn't change many things including the stance, something I'm always worried about messing up!
