After a GREAT visit to Roy Hill Racing back in June, I have finally got all my "stuff" together and started tonight on Roy Hill's '74-'75 Petty Enterprise Pro Stock Duster. I've thought about doing one of these cars for some time, but never seemed to find very much information. ........ Roy took care of that. During our visit, Roy made my day when he broke out his scrap books and answered a ton of questions about these Dusters. (A really fantastic guy!)

This is the car I'll be trying to build.

Mark,

If you can bring this one together like you did the gasser that you just finished then you'll have one hot looking Pro-Stock dragster!!

It looks like you've got some GREAT reference photos to work from!!

Keep us posted with your progress,

Well Guys, "Petty Blue" is still alive in Drag Racing today. Check out the interior in some of Roy's School cars and Pro Mod cars.

This is a Chopped '65 Plymouth Pro-Mod.

Hey Kenny! I do indeed have a number of "detail" shots. When I get them loaded, I'll shoot you a PM.

Hi Guys, I set the body aside for a few days and started on the drivetrain. The Hill Duster had the third Lenco tranny produced. I couldn't find a kit Lenco that I liked, so I'll be making one. This is the basic tranny less the "humps and bumps" that I'll be adding later. It's K&S brass and aluminum washers.
