Back to the Chevelle, just the windows to fit, then the bodyshell can be mated with the chassis, for this I'm using the new UV resin from Revell, it seems the same stuff I've been using I got from China, I only bought the Revell resin for the fine applicator, when it runs out, I'll refill it with the resin from China, just the side vent windows to fit now.

Getting close to the finishing post, I hate when you have to stretch the body over the interior and chassis, luckily i didn't year anything crack while doing so....

A few clamps and some strong epoxy resin to the rescue, the grille was a good fit,if not a little springy, certainly needs to be held in place while the glue sets up.

Yeah the "Snap, Crackle, Pop" sounds send chills up my spine every time while fitting completed bodies over the completed interior tubs and chassis. This is looking really good on its wheels.

Battery refitted, I took it out so I could get the clamp in while holding the front grille in place,  top radiator hose and air cleaner fitted, so far the parts fit on this build has been faultless.

I keep hearing a lot of good stuff about this kit on reviews and watching you build this one up might just tip me over the edge to grab one. Engine looks great in there Geoff.

Front bumper fitted, rapid setting epoxy along the top and a few drops of UV resin at the sides held everything in place.

To be honest, if Revell hadn't supplied the kit I probably wouldn't have bought it, I'm sure glad they did, as I'm thoroughly enjoying this build,  intact I'm enjoying it so much I'm thinking of buying another one and building it in a totally different colour, with the other wheels and a parchment interior.

After working with the Foose F-100 kit I'm definitely a fan of the way the newer Revell kits pretty much just fall together,. I thoroughly enjoyed that one myself and have already got another one of those after finishing my Demon II version of that kit.

Geoff,  strange that you left off the end caps and didn't paint them as a unit with the body.

Another reason for not fixing them onto the body before everything got painted is because if you look at this photo of the real Chevelle, you'll see a definite line between the end caps and rear wing, fixing them on before paint would risk getting the line filled in with paint.

End caps fitted, a few drops of epoxy resin held them in place, followed by some UV resin on the inside.

Fantastic as usual .....do they give MBE's for model building????

I very much doubt it,  I never got one for my photography work.

I was hoping to get this one finished over the weekend, I did find time to fit the door handles, and today I've started on the decals, I still haven't decided which accent stripes to fit yet, white or black, and as they were a $29.50 option, I'm leaving them off until I decide which colour to go with, or if I'm going to use them at all.

Very sharp work. I know the feeling of wanting to get a build done over a weekend and it not working out. Hang in there and continue to be patient. You're doing one helluva job.

Apparently getting the Christmas tree sorted and hanging all the decorations was more important than modelling.....

chEAnY.gifMan do I ever hear that one!!! My friggin' living room looks like a war zone of plastic tubs of Christmas ornaments and other stuff. My wife would keep me up till the roosters crow the next morning putting up decorations if I didn't say anything. You know tha deal though......QpQEdC.gif
