Broken A-Pillar?

I have a body that I broke the passenger side A - pillar loose from where it connects to the fender.  I glued it twice and finally it held.  I had to strip the body today and when I was scrubbing it with a tooth brush it broke again.  I have a feeling this is going to keep happening.  It's such a fragile connection. 

Am I better off buying another kit and starting with a new body?  This is what I'm leaning towards doing.

One thing I found to work on occasion is to get a piece of very small wire, run it from the very edge of the roof down to under the dash, and super glue it in place.  Glue it all the way down, this will add some stability to the A pillar.

I had a thin broken piece on the 1911 Mercer I'm building so I backed it up on the inside with a piece of card stock cut to the same shape and super glued it. It's held fine so far but I only have it in primer thus far. It's going to be fine though.
