Junkman Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Do not waste your money on that Doyusha abomination. Seriously. If you must have a Capri 1 right now, buy the Whitebox, or the Welly diecast. If you have enough life left, wait for the upcoming Decalcas kit, which, as far as I understand, will be an injection moulded plastic kit. Then use a Whitebox, or Welly diecast as a donor for bumpers, wheels and whatever else the rally version lacks. As for Cortinas, or actually more correctly, Consul Cortinas, there also was a 1/16 scale kit by Frog. Like much of the rest of Frog's lineup, it was later reissued by Novo in the Soviet Union.
ShawnS Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I will never for the life of me understand why this car has not been kitted in 1:24/25 by one single manufacturer. Surely a car like the Cortina that has such a huge worldwide following and instant recognition would be easy money for a model company. If Ebbro, Beemax or Tamiya released one tomorrow I would order at least 10 of them maybe more.
Junkman Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 It sure is a bit of a no brainer, but this could be said for many other cars and vans as well.
