I know it's jumping the gun, and there's a ways to go, but I really REALLY hope the educated speculation on a Gone in 60 Seconds version does come to fruition.

That’s the only recommendation I need given your expertise on these cars, really hope all the hints dropped about the Eleanor car come to fruition.

Wow that’s really wild, really different and a really nice build too

This is a really lovely build, just so nice to look at. Great pics.

Man, thanks for sharing this news! I’d bought a resin wheel set (hadn’t found a flat hood) and the AMT ‘73 years ago but it seemed so ordinary it was going to be a waste of resources so I could never get started on it. This is a long term fan’s dream come true! I also have to add that I’ve learned so much about the movie car from your posts Vamach1 (I think that’s what put me off starting the AMT 😊)

Stunning work all over, amazing finish, the under hood wires look incredible.

Stunning work! I suspect the inclusion of only one decal may be correct for the Japanese RX-7, I had the same confusion when I restored this vintage Tomica diecast which only features the badge on one side too. 🤷♀️

I hadn't noticed the different pattern on the seats, that's frustrating. The bonnet on my Kingswood is OK as far as I can tell too. Another frustration was no decals for the lion on the hubcaps which look a bit off too. I've had a go at designing some to 3D Print, I'll let you know how they come out.

Thanks lordairgtar, ya just cost me $70 😬 Most Round2 kits retail here for $59 - $69 AUD, and $120 odd for a resin kit of an Australian subject previously, it’s not too bad. I’m guessing DDA are doing a ‘Revell’ and engineering their Diecast molds to make these kits. Have ordered the Kingy, hoping they do a Valiant Charger, just stoked to have some Aussie car kits.

Thanks again everyone! I had a dig through my parts bucket and found this left over set from the AMT ‘Gear Hustler’ el Camino, think they’re pretty close! And the price is right to 😉 -

Thanks tbill, they’re real close, I think they’ll do the trick for me, and it looks like there’s a set of them in the recent fire chief release too. -

Thanks Mike, sorry about the pic. I did find them once on a Chevelle site, I’ll try and find them again for a clearer image. This is the only other pic I have on my phone, but it’s not much better. In fact it makes it look like a darker blue too. -
Hi Everyone, I’ve had a search myself so I’m turning to the Chevelle experts among you. Is there a kit / resin option around for these factory GM wheel covers? Any help is very much appreciated. While I’m here, I think I’ve pinned the colour down to ‘Grotto Blue / White’ but would love to hear an expert opinion. Looking to replicate this car from the family, SS396 Australian Delivered. Thank You. Peter

For what it’s worth, I was working on the seat decals on my camper this arvo, and the instructions have the numbers for them mixed up. I’m sure you’ll cope ok though ?

As an Aussie, when I saw the title VH Valiant Charger, I thought no, can’t be and yet it is with six pack decals and right hand drive too. Did you do the 3D printing or can they be bought pre-made?

That’s cool, I like it. The paint is really cool

That’s super cool, love it.

Geez, now I’ve gone to watch it again, in this scene it’s black, no doubt, but then in some shots it’s dark brown I’m convinced it is. I don’t know what to think anymore lol.
