Snowman truck and trailer
Plashdaddy replied to keone2013's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Geez, now I’ve gone to watch it again, in this scene it’s black, no doubt, but then in some shots it’s dark brown I’m convinced it is. I don’t know what to think anymore lol. -

I’m from the dark coffee brown camp I’m afraid, there are times you can see it, it’s dark, real dark but I’m sure it’s still brown, but I understand your view, it does look black at times. -

I really like your Snowman build, the pics keep me motivated on mine. May I ask what colour / base your used for the cab? It looks just right. -
Looks great! I’m working on this kit and am going to try to make those missing Trans Am decals. Yours came out really good.

Thanks everyone

Looks great! You must have the patience of a saint to get that tyre lettering looking so nice. It’s a skill that evades me (among others lol)- 11 replies

These two little guys arrived in the post today. Both from the same auction, unbuilt and complete, I just loved the box art on them both.

If it helps, I have to email any phone photos to myself, so it reduces the size of the images or I can’t post either.

Cool, thank you. With postage and the current exchange rate they become a pricey thing to get to Australia, just wanted to confirm they’re worth it, which they obviously are. -

Thank you everyone -
Thank you everyone, the amount of modifying to get the front wheels on and under the mudguards in the right spot nearly did my head in.

I know you veterans have probably built this one in one of it’s many guises over the years, but my mum (bless ‘er) bought me this reissue for my birthday, and I hadn’t built it before so here it is! If ever a build was cursed, it’s this one, but it came out ok in the end, thanks for looking.

Hi All. I think I’ve taken this restoration of my Uncle’s Movin’ On Kenny as far as my current abilities will take it. It was a mess to start with, I should have replaced the glass, and I mended broken bits rather than replace them. I should also have got some repro decals, and I still might. My uncles health has taken a downward turn of late, so I pressed on to get it finished. So, here she is, some before shots and the finished rig. Thanks for the encouragement, thanks Richard for the instruction sheets!

Movin’ On Kenworth Restoration
Plashdaddy replied to Plashdaddy's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hi Guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I think I’ve gotten the truck to a point where (for my skill level) it’s as nice as it’s gonna get. Here’s one pic, I’ll post the rest in the appropriate board. -
