Wiring R&M distributors ?

Looking for tips, how-to"s and wire size  for R%M Flathead "crab Style" distributors

John, if I recollect, they were sized for Detail Master ignition wiring.  I'd have to dig some out of the boxes yet unpacked to do more dimensioning

Thanks Gerry. If I get a chance I will dig out my micro drill bits and see if I can get a size. Gotta dig out the magnifiers also

I have not tried the "crab style", but the regular pre-drilled R&M distributors work well with 32 gauge insulated wire, available here:https://www.micronmeters.com/product/miniature-insulated-wire-32-awg-uaa-uba

I use the UAA3201, which is a single wire, not stranded. If that is too big, they also have 34 and 36 gauge.

I usually use the # 75 .021 or #74 0225 size drill bits for installing plug wires if that's any help.

Well anyone have a photo of the one in question? I just cast an old Johan cap with decent prongs that lets me slide the boot over it. So no drilling necessary. I'm using 32awg wire an the heat shrink from https://tcsdcc.com.

Wow, what kit came with those M/T hemi valve covers???. Those are cool! ☺️

One of the old Johan kits, bought them as parts from eBay. Those in the photo are cold cast with aluminum powder which look way better in person. Actually the whole engine is my latest resin engine from action-modeler.

Jon I bet you could just slide the boot over those tabs.
