Pico Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Excellent! And I'm really diggin' that 1970's crack finish avocado formica countertop workbench you have. Left over from kitchen remodel?
absmiami Posted February 29, 2020 Author Posted February 29, 2020 Oh no you really want the workbench. Story? maybe after a beer or two ......

Thanks Andy, I actually wondered about the difference. I had planned to convert a Monogram T35 to a T51 with road gear as raced at Le Mans in 1935 with number #26.
absmiami Posted March 9, 2020 Author Posted March 9, 2020 There were no 35’s at Amelia today to compare but the 51 radiator is a little wider ... taller ? Don’t remember but I do have the great Bugatti 35 book published years ago that has both drawn to scale ....
absmiami Posted March 9, 2020 Author Posted March 9, 2020 What a great looking instr panel the T51 dash is nearly the same as the T35
Gramps46 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Thank you kind sir for the photos and dimensions.
absmiami Posted March 10, 2020 Author Posted March 10, 2020 Deciding whether to begin a Bugatti 51 thread ..... the best starting point is the Conway Bugatti Grand Prix book with drawings of features of the type 51 and the 35 and 37. Published about 40 years ago It is still THE book on the Bugatti GP cars
absmiami Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 Well at least I don’t have to worry about lack of build projects ....
absmiami Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 Oh dear ... mad mike is at it again ... incoming ...

absmiami Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 Carpet in the - presumably- shared work space - not good - what would happen if you casually informed the spouse that you were removing the carpet ??
