I guess that I was always under the assumption that most headliners were done in lighter colors to brighten up the interior.

I hadn't really tested this theory by researching, but it just made sense to me.

:D As a general rule. Unless its a vintage drag car. 90% of what I build is convertibles

To follow up on what Snake wrote, my parents owned a 1970 Olds 88.  The body was green with a white interior.  The headliner was green.
