Peter Lombardo Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Very nice work, the engine looks great. The modified decals also look perfect on the car and the ride height looks dead on. Classy. Really smooth.
cruz Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Man, I am really digging this thing, can't wait to start on mine!!! Keep us updated please!!!
stump Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) Thanks guys.. Got a little more done this weekend...not enough, but some..... Decided to throw some Gabriel Hi-Jacker shocks under her. I made them to Baldwin specs., as Baldwin may have ordered them.... These are the kit shocks, I cut them in two, removed approx 1/8 inch and used a cotton bud (Q-tip) to make a sleeve. It fits over the fattest part perfectly. It also allows you to adjust the height you want when installing them. Here they are, just prior to "bolting" them in. I've just used some RB Motion nuts and bolts for the first time..only fitting that they go on a Motion car.... More soon guys. The trip so far.... Edited November 2, 2008 by stump
Raul_Perez Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Very nice detail work, Greg!! Thatnks for sharing,
stump Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 Thank you Raul.. I'd realised after getting all the hardware in the tail end that I hadn't installed the sway bar.... A bit of consultation with a couple of mates has made my mind up to leave it off...it is afterall, a straight-liner..... More soon guys Greg
Rob Hall Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 This is going to be cool...you going to put sidepipes on it? I'm thinking of doing something similar, using parts from the Revell '69 B-M Camaro. Still have plans to do a phantom B-M '70 Impala with the hood scoop, Cragars, side pipes, etc.
stump Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) Thanks Rob. Yes, sidepipes will be going on her mate...the motor and L-88 scoop come from my 69 B-M Camaro.. I have another 69 B-M Camaro waiting in the wings, decals are on the way.. I have the pipes from the same Camaro lined up for this.....s'long as I don't change my mind...... Love the sound of a phantom B-M '70 Impala..can't wait to see that baby. I love anything Motion related... Edited November 5, 2008 by stump
