Plashdaddy Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Hi All, I’ve been trying to identify a kit I had as a kid in the early eighties and can’t seem to find it anywhere. It was a 79 / 80 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am, 1/25 or 1/24, molded in black. I cannot recall if it was a snapper, but it was pretty basic, but I remember it had plastic wheels, not rubber tyres. I’ve searched and searched for images and seen a red one that could be it and tons that aren’t it, but I’m buggered if I can find it. thanks for any help you can offer, and sorry if this is the wrong place for this question. Peter

Plashdaddy Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 I’ve looked at an instruction sheet for the Lindberg on fotki, I recall that the wheels weren’t chromed and the headlights weren’t a separate piece, but it’s the closest I’ve come across, so maybe my memory is failing me. thanks for taking the time to look Casey
Oldcarfan27 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Maybe this? Or this? I know Revell was making kits without chrome back in the late 70s-early 80s.
Plashdaddy Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 Patrick, thank you I am 99% sure it’s the first one you’ve posted there! I’ll try and find some pics of the instructions / contents now to confirm. Thanks for you help guys, this has been driving me insane.
Don Sikora II Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 The Lindberg kit was originally released by USAirfix. It has plastic tires. So does the Revell “Snap Kit.”
