drodg Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Here are a couple photos of my 65 Coronet that I am replicating my 1:1 car, well kinda. I hope to have it finalized this weekend. It may be a reality since it is supposed to rain most of the day Saturday. As a side note this is the first time I have started to use a Molotov chrome pen. For small items like the steering wheel center and door handles I like it. I am going to be using bare metal foil on most of the trim on the exterior.
bisc63 Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Very nice; that's a beautiful red. Don't see enough of these built up. I really liked Polar Lights interior engraving.
Trendsetta68 Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Yes, the interiors to me were beautifully crafted ... Well do e, keep us posted ...
drodg Posted October 28, 2019 Author Posted October 28, 2019 Well didn't finish this weekend but I should have it wrapped up this week. Thanks everyone
High octane Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 That Coronet is lookin' awesome David as it is one of my all time faves.
Brutalform Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 How did you get the paint nice and shiny? I have this same car, and the paint looks rather dull. Yours is looking real nice, and I’m waiting to see it all assembled.

I know the paint looks amazing. I thought about clearing it before I started on it but it really didn"t need it. Anyhow thank you.
drodg Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 Well getting close. I need to finish up putting on the wheels and getting the engine done and then I am calling this completed. Bare metal foil is done which is always a joy!

Bucky Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 I know where there is a 1:1 1965 Coronet convertible "under construction". Your fantastic looking build is making me think about taking my camera to the shop and shooting some pics to make a replica build out of one of the convertible kits I have. Keep up the great job you're doing! A shiny red MOPAR is tops in my book!!
