thecrossguy Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Anyone know where I can find a stretched frame?
iamsuperdan Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Just make your own! I am NOT a pro at scratchbuilding by any means, but I tried this. A little styrene and a little measuring, and it's really not too bad. Didn't take much time, and after paint, it's hard to tell the stretch from the stock. And as a bonus, you can pick any length you want.
DrKerry Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Dan is right it isn't too hard to do one with scrap plastic or use another frame as a donor to fill the stretch you want.. All else fails contact Gary Wallace at gwtrucks@yahoo.com he makes extruded frame rails cut to the length you want..
Chariots of Fire Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Stretched frames are not hard to do and can be done with plastic strip stock. But it is something you will probably have to do yourself. There are plenty of examples in the section of work in progress that you could use for reference.
Warren D Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 AITM has one listed: https://aitruckmodels.com/product/cruiseliner-275-inch-frame/

I will attempt a stretch as it doesn't sound all that difficult. Thanks everyone.

Dave is great at helping us and will let you know how long it will be to get out of stock items to you.
