LL3 Model Worx Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Wich makes the better kit of the 959, Tamiya or Academy? I have no experience with either but I need a 959 to build... trying to pick the better option. Thanks for all advice in advance.
SfanGoch Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Tamiya 24065 is a far better and more detailed version. Check out the assembly instructions HERE.

89AKurt Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I've never seen an Academy, but based on the Ferrari 250LM, I wouldn't. I've also built the Tamiya in 3 versions, just search and see that others have too, think that's all I can add.
DukeE Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 My vote is for Tamiya. I think the Academy is a reboxed Gunze. They've reboxed Italeri stuff too, like the 250 Cal Spider, but other than the wheels this looks like Gunze.

Thanks for the input and Happy new year!
