randyc Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Here's one I got this weekend that o haven't seen before. 1934 Ford Roadster. I bought it thinking it might be better with a repaint, but I decided I like it fine as is for now. I did remove the bulky Nerf bars/bumpers and the Armstrong Air tampo from the deck. And the lovers were silver on the lower valance on rear. The front wheels are just a tad too far rearward. No easy fix with working suspension.
Gramps46 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Now that is really neat. I had seen pictures of it on eBay and not paid any attention to it but your photos are enticing.

And the one I received was still in the factory brown box with what looked to be original tape - never opened. Like seller had a case or something. Engine looks large and a little clunky but only hood top opens. You can see enough detail - a distributor with the molded wire loom. Red air cleaner element (!?). Chassis is mix of plastic and diecast. But it looks like a proper hot rod on the shelf. Makes you want to drive a real one, if only for a little while. Or it does me. And that's really the test for me.

Snake45 Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Pretty cool! I'd like it even better if it were a coupe, though.
randyc Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 There is a coupe version. Most of them I've seen are red with flames. two variations that I've seen. Napa and Parts Plus or Wix I think. I have a coupe in Todd's stuff that has display accessories. Stanchions, chain, trophy. Just searched on the bay. There is a black one from First gear in 1/25. I think that may be the coupe I have and Todd's is same with different paint. But there is a coupe. And if you need one... hit me up. I'll be glad to hook you up.
