crispy Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Have you heard about the Hasegawa Limited Edition Kits? To be released in December: HAS 20230 Ferrari 348tb HAS 20231 Ferrari 348ts HAS 20232 Ferrari 328 GTB HAS 20233 Ferrari 328 GTS Not sure how limited, but I know how much retail on these will be: $46.69. I've preordered a 348ts and a 328 GTS, but, I'll have to eat ramin noodles for a week.... Chris
Tuffy's Garage Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Where did you find them? Ramin noodles is a staple here after I buy some kits My daughter loves them
Zoom Zoom Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 $46.69???  That's ridiculously overpriced for straight reissues of non-prime Ferraris. For $20 less I can get Fujimi's Enthusiast Daytona. I was going to get a 328 GTB but forget it for that kind of extortion for what should be a $25 kit. With 1000+ kits in my basement it's getting much easier to be choosy.
crispy Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 They are posted on an upcoming page for Dragon. I was able to type the numbers in at the Hobby shop and they came up as good numbers. Unfortunately, the price is just that high. Bob, I agree, ridiculous extortion. I really thought they would have been about $25-$30 myself. The Fujimi kits are much better and more detailed. I almost had a heart attack with the price of the Mercedes SLR from Tamiya too. The prices are sure jumping up on the kits. Chris
ismaelg Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I haven't heard anything about those. I would have been interested in a 328 GTS, but not much at that price.... Do you know when will these be released? Thanks,
gasman Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I'm also interested in a 328, but at that price, jeez. there is stuff out there I want more then a Ferrari 328 at that price
Zoom Zoom Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I've heard they'll be out in December, and that preorders from the traditional Japanese sources wouldn't happen until closer to the release date. Maybe then we'll get a decent preorder price in yen, and any more than 3000 yen is a ripoff for a 328, and any more than 2500 yen is a ripoff for a 348, one of the most boring Ferraris ever.
crispy Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Bob is correct on all counts. Released in December. Prices in yen as Bob stated would be fair. US prices not so fair. If it is any consolation my first prices were off. They will be $44.95  Like it matters any. Chris

Chris To put it in perspective, I've held a $25 328GTB kit in my hand at a show in the past year or so and put it down w/o buying. I'd balk at $15 for a 348. My Ferrari purchases in the next few months will likely be the Fujimi P3 reissue, 599GTB (Revell and/or Fujimi), and perhaps a Revell Superamerica. The Hasegawa kits are all pretty dull by comparison.

Zoom Zoom Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Is that a 330 P3? (panting) I screwed up, it's the P4  . It's just been reissued.
ismaelg Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Cool! I've been looking for a 330 either P3 or P4 for a long time. I'd love to do the yellow car in the Victory by design DVD...
simonr Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Here are a couple of pictures of my OOP old Union model. Simon I screwed up, it's the P4  . It's just been reissued.

Italianhorses Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 These Hasegawa Ferrari kits include P/E sets, and very nicely detailed, if that's makes any difference. You still can find original kits for $20-25 on eBay.
Ken Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I wish someone would re-issue the union/heller/protar/testors 512 S. I Gave away my kit years ago. I can' t find one on the bay for less than 30-35$. Tom over at Hobby Heaven had one for 25$. I blinked before hitting the 'buy me now' button and lost it
