How do you edit posts when there is no edit tab?

I forgot how to edits ones posts when there is no edit tab ..... I want to remove images

Threads/posts can no longer be edited after a certain period of time. I don't understand it either. It's something that really needs to be changed.

Unlikely to change (and go back to when posts could always be edited). See:

I believe they removed the edit feature because of spam/scam posts being made.... The offenders would make a post in a topic, then go back weeks later and insert some kind of link into it.

Yep, and that is truly annoying. I try real hard to proof my stuff before I post, but sometimes silly spelling errors and whatnot manage to get by me (and Firefox). If I catch it in time, I edit it immediately.
