curt raitz Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Mario Andretti's ride in 1988 Model is based on the AMT Amway/Speedway Lola Cosworth. Built straight out of the box with the exception of the IndyCal decals and stencil used to paint the 'Goodyear Eagles' on the tires Official '88 Indy 500 photo of Mario Andretti's Hanna Lola The 1/24th Monogram Lola and the AMT Lola 1/25 side by side... thanx for lookin'...
RadRidesByDan Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Nice builds, The quality of replication is outstanding..... they both look flawless. Excellent work
ismaelg Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Curt, Your builds are after my heart! You have no idea how much I enjoy seeing these. Great job on them! Thanks,
Badgat Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 What color of red did you use to paint the Hanna Car Wash Indy car of Mario Andretti? I am planning to do the same build using the Amway car, too. And what did you use to make the wheel covers for the rear wheels?
Phildaupho Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Really great to see the March and Lola side by side. Both very good looking models. I would sure be nice to have a kit of the current Indy cars.

I think I used Tamiya's TS-49 Bright Red. The wheel covers are from one of the Indy Car kits AMT put out way back then.
Badgat Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Thanks for the info on the paint and the wheel disc. I got my decals yesterday, but I think I am going to use Tamiya's Italian red. And I have the Danny Sullivan Penske car with the wheel disc covers. Thanks again, your build is awesome.
