Looks great, I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

I've always had a soft spot for Montes. My dad and I had a project '73 when I was 15. We lost it when the tree next to the driveway fell over on it during a storm.

I would not think it would have those wheels on it if you want it to look stock.

I don't think you would want to spend a fortune replacing trim rings and caps.

Cool..the wheels and police light make me think something like this might be what Starsky could have driven 5 years earlier, had he been a Chevy fan..

i have a 77 monte carlo, and i drive a 77 monte.

Wondering what this has to do with this particular thread ? Maybe next time start a new topic to announce this info.

Thought it might be helpful to show how i made a CB doing my -67 Chevy DirtRoad Burner a little while back:

Just took some kind of TV-game console (?), coming to think of it it came with that kit, added some imagination and, tadaa!:

Its back on the bench.

Wired with a MAD distributor, doing the fuel lines next and I'll try to fix the valve covers.

That's a great looking kit. I always liked the 70 Monte. Did you dulcote the interior or is it some sort of satin finish? Also great looking engine! Looking good ..keep posting!
