'62 Dodge Hood. Revell vs. Johan

Can anybody tell me if the Johan 1962 Dart hood will fit the Revell kit?

If anybody has both kits, a couple of photos would be terrific!

I know for a fact the grills dont interchange, so its not likely the hood will either

 

the Revell grille was a good bit larger than the Johan

Thanks Bill, but I just need to know if the hoods are relatively easily interchangeable for a friend.

If you have the measurements on the revell hood. I have a johan hood I can measure

I do not.

I am just trying to help a member of the forum who has a Revell kit with a missing hood, and was curious as to whether anyone had yet attempted the switch.

 

I have a Johan kit, but never a Revell.

I will ask the member to measure the hood opening.

The '62 Dodge grille in the AMT parts pack is a pretty good fit on the Revell body.  I never cared for the look of the Revellion funny car body, so I found a set of bumpers and tried the AMT grille.

I just happened to have one of each nearby....here ya go.

The Johan hood can be modified to fit; it needs to be narrowed toward the rear and it might need to be lengthened by adding a little plastic to the rear edge.
