with NOS SYSTEM or not...I will think about that later.

but the body for sure I know the look I want.

Danny,

You couldn't have picked a better car for inspiration!

The Bugweiser is always a crowd favorite. Here is video of it doing some testing. This is a test only 11.58 seconds pass. Not all out. This car is in the 10's

Thanks,

At an event here in NY this past Saturday, the only 2 VWs there were mine :D

I'm really looking forward to updates on this project for sure.

thanks for the comments

well next years caribean scale auto expo in Puerto Rico the theme will be "volkys"

so like we say in the island there will be bugs "que que hacen orillas."

translation: will make a shore ....like the sand at the beach, that's were it came from. :D

at first it was understood that only bugs were allowed but the rules include

all types of vw....check it out and everyone is welcome to come down.

make plans from now. I believe that next month Model Mag has an article on last years event

and there were some Bugs in it worth talking about. imagine the next one in 2009.

BARBO a member of this forum is the organizer and if anyone needs info contact him.

again thank you for all your comments, I am really pump up about this one.

i SANDED DOWN THE MOLDINGS ON THE SIDE AND

I FOUND THE TIRE SIZE I WANT, USING TO SLICKS

FROM A NASCAR AND THE TWO FRONT TIRES FROM

A 70,S FUNNY CAR KIT. THEY ARE SMALL ENOFF TO FIT

THE FRONT FENDERS WITHOUT TOUCHING .

AND IT CAN FIT A MODERN RIM, THIS FROM THE

ALPD PRO MOD CAMARO. I WILL MAKE THE BACK WHEEL

FENDERS DETACHABLE SO YOU CAN SEE MORE ENGINE DETAIL.

I NEED TO WORK ON THAT.. :) THE DOORS WILL OPEN

BUT WILL DO THAT LATER, I DONT WANT TO WEAKEN THE BODY

WILD I WORK IN THE CHASSIE AND GETTING THE RIGHT LOOK.

I WILL USE THE PAN AND SUSPENSION PARTS FROM A TAMIYA K-GUAI

KIT, BECAUSE THE SNAP KIT WERE I GOT THIS BODY WONT CUT IT.

THIS IS THE LOVE BUG RAG TOP "HERBIE" FROM POLAR LIGHT RELEASE.

I just finish fabricating the engine cover.

I did not did that tilt, but left the back panel going

strait up, I like it, it gives it the PRO MOD LOOK

and it stretches the boby and makes look longer.

next will be prepping the body and get it ready for paint.

are you going to add the pro stock scoop to the top of the wing/cover? i have seen alot of these with holes cut into the back of the cover instead for air intake or air escape, not sure which.

i've also noticed that VW engines exhaust is always merged together and exits in a single outlet. i love the stinger exhaust style as well as the style with the muffler on the passenger side, but i do wonder why you never see dual outlets, one for each side? or even four outlets, one for each cylinder?

Dave

I don't like the scoop. this kind of engine does not need it. If it was a double 4barrel holley

maybe, but the double webber can breath with an side fresh air intake.

I will use the single trumpet coming out of the back, iTS FOR THE TRACK, not the street.

No mufflers here. BIG TUBE HEADERS with a bIG TROPET. pro stock vw Style.
