Was researching the AMT Corvair when I saw the funny car version online and realized I had a damaged body and the chassis from the old street freak Barracuda.

So I cut off the damaged nose and am grafting the custom nose from the Corvair kit on it!

Scratch built the front axle and sourced the engine and rear axle wheels and tires from the parts box!

Widened the rear wheels too!

Good call on the custom front end! Improvise, adapt, overcome! B)

I'm rebuilding an old HUG model, but not as HUG, just a fictional rear-engine Cuda. I don't like how high the front end sits on the kit chassis, so I'm planning to move the front axle from underneath the leaf springs to on top of them. If you want to get your slick Corsair down, it would work for you, too. B)

I am building the HUG right now.  Front end actually sits quite low, as does the rear.  I was surprised.
