magicmustang Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Picked this up on Ebay. Found it was missing a few parts so built it OOB. White box release, had alot of flash and a couple of misformed parts. Man it was a tough build. Scratch built a missing oil pan/ flywheel cover. Parts didn't fit and vague instructions. Krylon Gloss black with flat black cane body sides. Not perfect but I'm happy with it. Could use a radiator cap/ ornament and chrome front bumper ( if anyone has a spare) as they were not completely formed. Let me know what you think. Edited July 20, 2020 by magicmustang 1
Eric Macleod Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 This certainly looks great. I probably do have a spare front bumper but not so sure on the radiator cap and hood ornament. This is good to know that the later kits are challenging as I have built all of these kits (the pre-white box era) both as a kid and as an adult and thought they were a breeze. Either way, yours is impressive.

bbowser Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 That came out very well! I love these kits, yes they are challenging but rewarding when completed.
magicmustang Posted July 27, 2020 Author Posted July 27, 2020 Thank you guys. Still could use a front bumper to finish it.
Matt87 Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 I picked up a complete unbuilt one of these at show in November for 30$. I have looked thru it. It seems like a high quality model kit. Parts are molded nicely and well detailed especially for a 1960s model kit.
