Model Build Thread by Make and Model.

Since joining the forum I tend to get lost in the completed section of builds looking at all the amazing creations that have been posted, but there doesn't seem to be a way to find specific models by just typing in for example, "1969 Dodge Charger RT" which would bring up only '69 Chargers, whether they be by AMT, Monogram, Revell, etc. anyone who's built a '69 Charger can post their pictures in that particular post. They can be builds from fifty years ago, to builds that have just been finished. Basically an under glass thread where all the posts are categorised by make and model.

1960 Chevy Impala

1968 Ford Mustang

1976 Ford Torino

etc..

Thoughts?

Try our wonderful search function otherwise the problem is that there would be thousands of categories then !! Lol

The search function already brings up thousands of posts. If someone posted the word 'Dodge Charger' ,even if the thread isn't about the car, it brings it up. What I mean is one thread like WIP.  In there would be posts,  '1957 Chevy Bel Air, 1958 Chevy Bel Air, 1966 Mercury Park Lane, etc. If you have a '57 Bel Air, whether it's a custom or stock, if it's a '57 Bel Air you post your pics of that car in that post.

You could try searching by topics only, that would knock out the mere mentions.

ah, that works! I was using the search bar with "everywhere" ticked. ah well, it was a good idea, Lol.

The search feature works best if you only search one word...... For instance, my next build will be a '49 Ford coupe. To look at builds of them, I go to "under glass, model cars" and search "shoebox" (as that's what most folks call them). You can go to each section and choose "this forum" and only get results from that section......

You can always do a "let's see your" thread.

These type of threads probably irritate some members, but you just start a new thread in the "Under Glass" section titled, "Let's see your 1969 Dodge Charger builds", or something along those lines, and people will generally be more than happy to post photos of their models.
