Wow, that mag sure has gone down a strange new road the last two issues. I found next to nothing worth reading or looking at in the current issue. They even screwed up a photo feature on a '32 Ford rod!

I'll be looking at the next issue VERY closely before I fork over 8 bucks for it. And I have a feeling I'll never be back. (Suddenly SO glad I don't have a subscription.)

It is so very sad....

Not sure if you were a fan of Traditional Rod and Kulture Illustrated, which folded last year. But that mag has spun off into a new venture called Speed and Kulture which is definitely worth checking out. They are 4 issues into publication

CKD was never really that good of a Mag to me. And I am surprised it is still around!  TRC was a nicer and better quality mag and it is sad it went away.

I bought every issue of it I ever saw, but it wasn't easy to find around here. Sorry to hear they're gone.

Look up Speed and Kulture. They bought out all the backissues of the old mag, so you can fill in any holes in your collection.

I started picking up issues of Car Kulture DeLuxe and Ol' Skool RODZ lately . The changes you mention may have to do with the change of ownership. I read in one of the recent issues that a couple who had had their builds featured in the magazines in the past had bought them from the original owners I think around issue 100. I'm not into the life style so much but I like looking at most of the cars featured and some of the stories behind them. The coverage of some of their car shows seem to have a modern twist to the '50's look with many of the cars and trucks. With no Rod & Custom, Car Craft, Hot Rod Deluxe, or most of the magazines of that type now gone I have started to look at a lot of alternatives.  A resent model I did was of a '48 Chevy Aerosedan based of the Convertible in the 100th issue of Car Kulture DeLuxe.
