rob1957
Our local hobby shop had a kit for sale which was brought in by someone . It was on the ," Odds & Ends", table . Wespe Models Opel Super 6 , 1\35 scale . 10$ CDN. Seemed like a good buy . Everythings inside , all shrinkwrapped , never opened . Instructions are in Romanian , should be fun . This kit appears to be resin . Can I primer and paint this with Tamiya ? I've had some difficulty airbrushing Vallejo in the past so I've stuck with Tamiya. Thanks. Robert. Mark
With resin, you should be able to use any type of paint you want. Provided, of course, you take the correct measures to clean and prep the parts for primer and paint.
rob1957
Thanks Mark . That would be, wash parts with soap and water , rinse , let dry , do any sanding and then proceed with our Primer . Robert.
Mike999
You stole that one! On the Wespe website, the Opel Super Six is listed for 51.20 Euros. The kits are resin. For quite a few years, Wespe was one of the very few companies releasing WWII civilian or nearly civilian vehicles. And they do a bunch. Including a Studebaker staff car, cut-down '41 Ford station wagons as used in North Africa and many others. https://www.wespemodels.com/opel_super_6_pwes_35021
rob1957
Yikes!! I hope the hobby shop owner doesn't check out the forum during some down time and see this. 51 Euros translates into around 78$ CDN . I'll be banished from the shop, relegated to shopping the limited model supply at Michaels. I've never heard of Wespe before . Thanks for the reply and link . Robert. You had no say about the price - you just found the kit interesting, and with what seemed like a good price, so you purchased it. Why should the hobby shop accuse you of doing something wrong and banning you from shopping there?
