Mopar440_93 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 With the Jimmy Flintstone 55-57 Suburban, it's recommended to use the AMT 55 Cameo kit to complete it. I mocked everything up, but the body is sitting on the wheels. Are there any other chassis or kits that can be used to complete it? Or am I just missing something with using the 55 Cameo as a donor kit?
stitchdup Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Maybe trying another set of wheels/tyres would let it work for you
TarheelRick Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Could you show us a picture of the problem you are having?
Plowboy Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 You have to adjust the wheelbase accordingly by moving the rearend or making the frame longer or shorter. Whichever is needed. You'll also have to do some scratch building for the floorpan and interior panels.
espo Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Your problem almost sounds as if the interior floor boards that would sit on top of the frame are not contacting the body ??

You're right, because the 'interior' is really just a pick up cab and the bed isn't long or wide enough to make contact with the body at all. So i would probably need to build something or use something else as a donor kit
