majel Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 This is the Tamiya Nissan 350Z built box stock as a painting exercise. There is no engine, just the bottom half built into the chassis. Everything on the bottom half is one piece which makes it a painting challenge. The body is painted with tru-color "chromit black pearl" and Tamiya clear. The rest of the paints are Tamiya acrylics. The driver side window had a large crack in the top half so I cut it out to look like the window was rolled down halfway. Like all Tamiya kits it went together very well.
kelson Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Looks pretty nice!,hard to believe these cars are 15 years old now!.
espo Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Great looking paint work. Very cleanly detailed. You might want to check the Tires as they are a directional design tread. The drivers rear looks correct.
majel Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Whoops, you are 100% correct David! I obviously didn't pay attention when I installed the tires. Good catch, I will have to change them, thanks.
