rob1957 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Hello Everyone . Here is a diorama I brought out of the display case and added a couple upgrades . Figures are by Dragon , 1/35 scale . Rock in diorama is actual broken up stone . Barb Wire is Mini-Art product . Stakes are real twigs .
rob1957 Posted December 9, 2020 Author Posted December 9, 2020 Soldier with green uniform was supposed hold folded tripod legs from MG 34 which was being fired over his right shoulder . I couldn't get this to look correct so with a little work I repositioned his arms and gave him a rifle . Had to cut one arm in half and fill in with Vallejo Putty . He dropped something on the ground it seems .
rob1957 Posted December 9, 2020 Author Posted December 9, 2020 The unmanned MG-42 and the ammo belt are Mini-Art . I heated the ammo belt with hair dryer and drooped it over the box . First attempt at heating with a lighter melted the entire belt . Soldiers are my hand painting . Fun little diorama to build . Enjoy . Thank You.
cobraman Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Very nice. I was never too good at doing figures.
rob1957 Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Hi Ray . One of the most difficult areas of figures , besides painting eyes on the face , is proper positioning of arms so the soldier can hang onto a rifle and have it appear realistic .
