Any way to un yellow a decal

I was kooking through my prior builds and i found my Peugeot 206 rally had yellowing of the clear part of the decal.

Unfortunately i didnt clearcoat the decals when i built it

 

Any help is greatly appreciated

I had heard that if you tape the decal sheet to a window that gets a lot of sunlight that it will get rid of the yellow.  I tried it once and it did not work so I don't know. Maybe I did not leave it long enough ?

I am currently undergoing this experiment. I am hoping it works, as I have a lot of old kits...

The decal in question is already on the model

It might or might not help to set the model in a window where it can be hit by sunlight. I've "bleached" unused decals this way many times, but have never tried it on applied ones.
