Does anyone have this Datsun 280Z ?

Does anyone have this Monogram Datsun 280Z? My question is regarding the bumpers. Do the bumpers have the bumper guards as shown on the box? I have several set of Monogram 280Z bumpers molded in both red, (presumably from this kit) and molded in yellow from the road race version. None of the bumpers that I have have the bumper guards though, (which I need to build a stock version). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That box art is heavily re-touched, and likely created before the model was finalized. It appears the bumper only came without the guards, both for the stock and Rally versions:

 

The Rally version was also molded in red, so not sure if there's any way to tell which of the two kits the bumper came from if it came to you as a loose part.

The AMT 280ZX Turbo kit has the bumper guards. Kit #AMT 1043/12. not my pic. From the web

Bumper guards are rather simple shapes. Could be easy enough to scratch build them.

The yellow racing version doesn't have them either:

I looked at the guards on my version of the AMT 280ZX kit. The shape is similar, but they're moulded into the unplated part of the bumper and by the time they are removed there wouldn't be much left of them, and they don't look too complicated to whittle down from a solid lump of styrene.
