george 53
Shane, Man these guys are a blast! If you got a club ANYWHERE near you, you should go check it out, hopefully you won't be sorry. I just got into this group last month, and last nite, 2 more newbies showed up. All of us,execpt for maybe 2/3 guys are ol dudes like me, or older. Just a big bunch of overgrown kids, who happen to build some killer models! It is ALOT of fun, and IF you can find a good club(like ours) you won't be sorry! Edited November 30, 2008 by george

Scott H.
That looks like it was a nice meeting! I'm really interested in seeing what that Edsel Gasser turns out looking like! It would be nice to see a builders log of it! Thanks for sharing, -Scott H.
mazlak
Hey Bud, Great shots! You guys play hard! That speed boat ROCKS! Where did the seats in that thing come from? They look maybe scratchbuilt or resin. Could you let us know? If they are resin where can we all get some? Thanks, Rick in Richmond
george 53
Rick, that speed boat your refering to was also built by my buddy Steve Perry. The seats are resin cast from masters he made himself. He started with hardwood blocks cut to shape, the he used 1/2 round stock to make the pleats. He also built a JET DRIVE for it but it hadn't been installed yet. I got one from him in Toledo, and it looks just like the ones on the real jet boats. He mastered that from pics his brother sent of the real thing. It looks even cooler up close an for real!
