69_Stingray Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 What would be a recommended for a 3rd gen corvette? Something that doesn't go together with a lot of pain? That has good engine detail? Thanks!
youpey Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 i can't speak from experience, but i just got the 78 corvette indy pace car from revell germany. it got good reviews. i havent started the kit yet, but it looks pretty nice
Snake45 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Revell '68 roadster and/or '69 coupe. Now about 30 years old, they're still fine, fine kits and have been reissued many times so are readily available cheap.
64Comet404 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 The Revell '68 and '69 kits are nice to build, so are the AMT '70 and '72 kits. The Monogram '78 is less detailed and simpler than the others, but looks pretty good. Unless you want to go old school, stay away from the AMT/MPC '75 convertible or any of the vintage kits from that era.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 The Revell '68 Roadster and the Revell/Monogram '78 Indy Pace Car are both excellent and nicely detailed kits.

I've built a full-detail '70, Snake-Fu-ed a red '70 promo, and even as we speak am in the middle of a dark metallic blue '70 promo. These are every bit as nice as the Revells.
