That rocket is nominally a badge denoting your rank on the forum which we define by number of posts. Right now, they're all set to rockets. If we come up with some meaningful system of badges, we'll put them in. I'm not sure I can make them go away,

As I mentioned earlier, this is perfect example of "feature" creep in computer software. Do we need badges?  We don't need no stinkin' badges!   

But the software producer forces all those cute features on us.  I prefer simplicity, and a clean layout, but that doesn't keep the programmers employed.
